Desirable 3 Bedroom Finca for private sale from owner in Monda, a beautiful part of the Andalucian countryside. There is a natural park here called Refugio de Juanar which is home to the Iberian Lynx and we are very lucky to have them breeding here.
The property is located on the outskirts of the village of Monda. In Spain we call it the "Campo" which basically means the countryside. It is a 15 minute walk from the gate to the village where there are bars, restaurants and a supermarket which sells everything you need including meat and some frozen foods. Monda also has a dentist, radio station, Tuesday market, butchers, bakers, electrical shop and a kiddies toy shop!
Monda is situated 20 minutes drive from Marbella where you will find everything you need from large supermarkets to shops that sell boats! We also have a hyper-market at the bottom of the Ojen-Marbella road called La Caņada, this large shopping centre boasts numerous shops selling everything from phones and gadgets, clothes, food, shoes, beauty products and home decoration. The track where the finca is situated is called Poligono La Vega and is less than 1 kilometre from the main tarmac road. The track is scraped every winter by the town hall.

Entering the property through the front door takes you into a bright and airy hallway where there is an area to hang coats, bags etc. To the left of the front door is a large open plan kitchen with dishwasher, table and chairs, electric hob, extractor hood, microwave, oven and fitted kitchen units with a lime stone kitchen surface.
Leading from the kitchen via 2 arches is the lounge which has a working log burner. The lounge has patio doors leading onto the terrace which goes round the whole property. The patio overlooks the pool, deck and gardens with views to Monda Castle.
The main bedroom is located near the front door and next to the second bedroom, it has an en-suite with shower, toilet and sink with cabinet, the en-suite also has a window which looks to the back garden. This bedroom also a large built in wardrobe with drawer unit.
The second bedroom is the same size as the main bedroom and has a small dressing area which currently houses a small shelving unit and dressing table with mirror, more high shelving for storage which important in Spanish houses!
The third bedroom is located next to the lounge and has it's own little terrace that overlooks the pool. We currently use this as an office being two professionals working from home without children. Because we are home professionals we have a 2MB wireless internet line from Mercury Internet, we do not have a house land line but a 2MB internet line means you can use Skype and call from a wireless handset, this has worked wonderfully during the time we have lived here, we run our business and home life using VOIP systems.
The main bathroom is located next to the kitchen at the back of the house. There is a cabinet sauna / shower and has all the attachments you would expect of this type of unit. There is also a jazuzzi bath large enough for two adults with taps on the side for more fun! At the rear of the bathroom is a fitted washing machine and laundry area. The bathroom has just been re-tiled throughout and 2 new windows added for more light.
The property starts on Poligono La Vega and when passing through the Green gates the driveway meanders up to a large gravelled parking area. There is a professionally constructed chicken coop, (made to house 8 chickens comfortably, there are currently 4) built next to a garden building (our shed). Opposite the shed is the vegetable patch planted with strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, blackberries, onions, garlic and tomatoes. We have flower gardens and a small area next to the deck where we grow oranges, apples, lemons, grapefruit and cherries.
At the rear of the house we have what we call our "love garden". There are 5 steps to gain access here and this section is gravelled and would be great for a trampoline for kids or a bench. On this gravel section there is a crazy paving seat with a flower garden where we have lots of smells like Jasmine, Mimosa, Daisy, Bird of Paradise, Palm Trees, Bottle Brush (Castillemon), Bougainvillea, Lillies and Verbena.
As part of the property from the rear garden there is step access to a road running behind the house leading to the one neighbour, situated behind us.
The 8 x 4 swimming pool has just been renovated, all cracks fixed, newly painted, new pipe work and a new sand filter, the pool offers easy access steps. Around the pool we have recently installed a new decking area including a hammock tied to a palm tree one side and a fur on the other - very calming.
We had so much fun building this and it is on the Escritura and very legal. When we bought the finca in 2007 this building was used to house horses and is now a fantastic entertainment room. We changed the layout of this building to make it open plan, it has a newly constructed roof along with a new floor and we opened it up so we could entertain guests without messing up the house! A 13 seater concrete table is now placed outside of the bar area giving an outside seating area with a gazebo for summer.
This BBQ was built by my husband and a friend and is large enough to cook a small goat or lamb, It has 2 grills, a sink for convenience and a marble top with space beneath for coals, wood and firelighters.
